Bachelor degree programs
The following is a description of curricula emphases in accordance with modules; a complete list of all courses and course descriptions can be found in the curricula of the respective degree programs.
- English Language Fundamentals: Basic grammatical principles will be refreshed - acquiring, improving and enhancing the use of technical lexis throughout. Particular emphasis will be placed on achieving fluency in both oral and written work. Students will be grouped based on their abilities and/or previous experiences.
- English in the Workplace: Emphasis here is placed on further acquisition of the essential vocabulary required in a working environment, consolidating material from earlier semesters. Essential requisite qualities - prominent in the modern workplace - are also covered in considerable depth: presentation skills, teamwork, negotiation, formal & informal discussions etc.
- Business English: The essential English skills required for both management and organizational roles.
Master degree program “Wirtschaftsingenieur”
- Professional Business English, Business English Advanced, Business English Conversation:
emphasis on social English / cultural diversity, management and leadership (human resources, recruitment, organization), marketing, company financing and investment (stock market, merger, acquisition), business ethics, small talk with business partners on headlines, culture, society, politics.
