The International Office

The central task of our department is the coordination of all FHWN international relations, the establishment and maintenance of the partner network, providing advice and support of incoming and outgoing students and teachers and employees with regards to mobility and the planning and implementation of all international activities.

  • FHWN partner institutions

We are responsible for the acquisition of new partner institutions and are currently maintaining more than 95 partner university cooperations worldwide. Furthermore we are academically and socially responsible for approximately 200 incoming and outgoing exchange students per year at Bachelor and Master level.

  • Erasmus+

Our Office administrates the Erasmus+ programme for student exchange, traineeships and teacher & staff exchange within Europe.

  • Student Mobility
Studying at an international partner university is a huge asset in terms of personal development and the improvement of opportunities at the labour market. Therefore we are highly commited to informing and motivating our FHWN students to spend parts of their studies abroad. In addition, we are the central point of contact for incoming exchange students who want to complete their semester abroad at FHWN. Even before arriving in Wiener Neustadt, visiting exchange students receive useful information from us in order to ensure a smooth start at FHWN.
  • Staff mobility
Our office organises incoming and outgoing teacher & staff exchange and is dedicated to hosting foreign delegations.
  • Internationalisation @ home

We want to create an environment for teaching and learning that prepares our students to be global citizens - academically well prepared, competent and culturally aware to deal with global issues. As we are aware of the fact that not all students are able to participate in mobility programmes, enhancing the concept of Internationalisation @ home is part of our daily work. We focus on strengthening international and intercultural competences in ways that can take place on campus or in the classroom.

  • Individual counselling

An important focus of our daily work is individual coaching. Through personal contact an ideal support of people seeking advice can be obtained.
